Need clarification on whether to key the 'Hire Date' as a 2 or 4 digit year. On many of the cards under the date of employment the year is only written as 2 digits, but further down the card under Continuous Service date, the same date is written as a 4 digit year. Normally these are preprinted cards with the 19-- date.
Question is do we key only the 2 digit year as this is under the date of employment or are we to key the full 4 digit year under the Continuous Service date. On the wiki example unfortunately the Continuous Service date is omitted from the card, hence the need for clarification. In the field help in the keying program it says we can find the hire date in numerous locations on the card.
Do we get dinged if we key the date as a 2 digit year as opposed to a 4 digit year and vice versa depending on who reviews our sets?
Many thanks
