There seems to be a rash of accuracy downgrades lately. Nobody seems to be able to explain why.
I'm a new reviewer.
Sometimes the keying is so bad that I wonder if the keyer has read the instructions.
But occasionally a keyer makes a couple of mistakes but otherwise does a very accuarte job. Or, maybe on a few records, I disagree with the keyer's interpretation of the image's handwriting (not realy an error). In such cases, I mark an error category even when only one or two errors occur. Is that fair? What effect does my evaluation have on the keyer's accuracy rating?
How is the accuracy rating determined???
Please help me reduce my feeling of responsibility for the problem.
