I'm trying to find the maiden name of my mother's paternal grandmother. I have the following information: Her name was Mary and she married Constantine "August or Gus" Staraitis. It may have been spelled "Steraitis" at one time. She was born 15 Apr 1890, in Poland, though I don't know which part. She died 17 July 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio. Her death certificate lists her father's first name as "Michael" with no last name, and her mother's maiden name as "Silkowski", with no first name. I believe she became a naturalized citizen in 1943 or 1945, but no maiden name was listed on paper. Constantine was born in 1887 Poland and arrived from Bremen port to NY on 14 Jun 1906. He died on 12 Jan, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, remarried. Constantine and Mary had 5 children, Anne, Julie, Stella, Bertha, Anthony, Francis and Joseph, all now deceased. Mary's maiden name was not listed in any obit that I could find. Any leads would be much appreciated!
