Beulah, my great, great grand father was in the 3rd TN Calvary. His name was Bartley McMurray. He was captured with his company by Nathan Bedford Forest at a railroad trestle. He was shipped to either Cahaba or Andersonville prison. When released he was on the Sultana. There is a picture of East TN survivors that appears on the web in many of the Sultana web sites. We have a family picture of him and recognized him in the attached photo. He is the gentleman in the first row far left seated with the cane. I have his war records and some old newspaper articles that described his life. His father and uncle both fought in the Rev. War after coming over from Scotland.
