I'm searching for any information on Alonzo K. Smith He was born around 1841 and married Fannie G. Locke. They were married about 1860 - 1861 Sanilac Co., MI. Fannie and Alonzo had two children: Ida L. (b. abt. 1862) and Melvin A. (b. abt 1863). Alonzo enlisted in the civil war Aug 7, 1862 and was a POW at Andersonville prison. He was released and on his way back home, when the Steamship Sultana exploded on the Mississippi river. He died the day after the explosion on 28 Apr 1865. I would like to know which cemetery is is buried at.
