My name is Michael Bowman. I am a doctoral student in Heritage Studies at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Over the past two semesters, I have worked on projects regarding the Sultana. As part of one class, I submitted a plan that would create a Sultana museum and establish a Sultana Trail that extends from Georgia along the Gulf Coast up through states bordering the Mississippi River.

What things have you done to attract more media attention about the Sultana?
What are the goals of your organization?
