Please forgive me if this is the wrong board for this question: I have had numerous incidences where I find the children of a person, and it seems that--for example, in 1801, they gave birth to a girl named Eunice, and Eunice died that same year. Then a few years later, they have another girl, and name HER Eunice. Does that sound right? Was it common practice to name a child after a deceased sibling? I can't justify these entries being duplicates because the timing of their births and deaths are so far apart, while still claiming the same set of parents. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!
