I have Reunion 8 and like your suggestion to copy census records to iPhoto then drag and drop into Reunion. However, I can't figure out how to copy the census record to iPhoto. If I use a "screen shot" technique to copy the image, it is more distorted and unreadable than if I just copy the document to a hard copy on my printer. Can you help?

Once you get into the census record on Ancestry.com, hold the control button down and click on the census record. A box should pop up with choices. Select "Add image to iphoto library".

Once you drag and drop it in Reunion, it will be small, but if you double click on the image, you'll then see a percentage number in the lower left corner of your image box. Click on that and a slider box will pop up which allows you to zoom in.

I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any questions.

I have Reunion 8, and have been considering upgrading to 9, but your problem concerns me. However, try this: Open the document on Ancestry.com, a census for instance. Either right click on the document to bring up a drop down menu, select "save as", then name the document and save to your desktop. Or, hold the control button on your keyboard and click on the document to bring up the drop down menu and select "save as." Then, you should be able to drag the saved document from your desktop into the multimedia window in Reunion. In Reunion, make sure you have the correct ancestor page open, click Multimedia in the menu options above, open multimedia window. Then drag the census from the desktop into the description window. If you also want to save the document in iPhoto, or whatever photo software you have, just open that application and drag it from the desktop. Let me know if that works. If it doesn't, I won't upgrade to 9.

Use Gedcom, I downloaded all my Family Tree to Ancestry from Reunion no problem. Took just a few minutes.

Also using a Gedcom from Ancestry back to Reunion will give same results.
With Gedcom you can transfer your info from one program to another very easily.

I initially used FTM & Legacy on my PC, I changed to Mac and transferred all my info safely.

Yes, I have the same problem. It will transfer a marker for the source but no detailed info goes along with it. Same for notes. I ask Reunion and they said it would not help by upgrading to 9. So I have been trying to figure out a work around. Wondering if I exported to FTM and then to public trees in
Ancestry.com? An older free version would not work. And I have been looking for GEDCOM utilities that might help. Someone told me about a book on GEDCOM transfers that might give a solution, but that sounds like a lot of work.

The only work around I came up with is to refer to my Rootsweb tree if they want to see the sources and notes.

Does anyone have experience with FTM PC or MAC and importing from Reunion?
