Looking for software to transcribe a diary and post to website

Question: I have my great grandmother's diary. It is more like random thoughts, over many years.
I would like to find software that I can use to:
A) Display a scanned image of the diary's page.
B) transcribe each page so it can be viewed at the same time, or at least be able to click on a link to bring up the original image.
C) I would like to be able to have it searchable by viewers
D) I'd like to post it to my website so that family can view it.
Does anyone know of a software that I can use for this?

Any adequate word processor can handle that job and produce a file you could show on your website.

The diary must be fascinating! (What period does it span? Where did she live? I'd love to hear more about it.) Sounds like you want something that will facilitate sharing and collaboration in a way that plain vanilla word processing software doesn't really support, at least in any robust kind of way. Have you looked at Famberry? It's a relatively new genealogy product that MIGHT be worth a look. You can Google it and find the company web page and look at the reviews which I think have been generally positive. Since story-telling and collaboration have recently become pretty popular in the genealogy world I'll be there may be other products as well.

Keep me posted!

Thank you for your responses. I will look into Famberry. She was born in the late 19th century and died around 1980. It is really sporadic but she has names and dates of birth for family that passed away including her husband's death that happened when my grandmother was very young.
I think most of it was penned late in life as she talks about who visited her; then random stuff like how my mom was doing in grade school. I think my family would like it if they could do searches for particular things, but reading it cover to cover is not really easy.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it tonight.

Angie,

If you take a look at Famberry I'd be interested in hearing if you think it would be a tool that might give you what you need. What I have heard about it sounds interesting, but sometimes that's very different from the impressions of a "real" person who is trying to use a particular software to meet their needs.

No matter how sporadic those diary posts are, they are a treasure!! We are forced to rely so much on official records of various sorts, but it is in things like diaries and photo albums that our folks come alive as real people. At least that's my belief!

I couldn't find exactly what I was I was looking for; so I made a blog on WordPress. Works just perfectly. I only have 9 days entered so far, but I am able to categorize each name so if someone just wants to see stuff about themselves they can just click on the name and it will filter it.
If anyone wants to check it out - it is https://bomielillie.wordpress.com

thanks for your help,
