I am a slow adopter of new technology and my husband finally convinced me to get a laptop running Windows 7. My current desktop runs XP and my software is Generations 7. Since that is no longer supported or made I *must* switch programs. I found Legacy and I like it for a number of reasons but since I started researching in 1999 as a total newbie, there is a lot that is missing or entered wrong for the new format simply because there was no specific spot for some data in the old software.
I only have about 3500 entries, and since the new software has the capacity to hold my research notes and logs and a host of other information I currently have on paper I am thinking about simply starting fresh and entering everything again from scratch.
Is this crazy? Does anyone have any cautionary tales or advice before I take this on?
