Upgraded to Yosemite...BEWARE!!
I upgraded to Yosemite on my iMac and have encountered the following issues: (I'm using FTM 2010)
1) When I open my file, I can't access my people by clicking on the "people" tab. I have to click on the home person listed below and then they all show up. Never had to do this before.
2) None of the tabs will work. Can't access places, media, sources, publish or web search. Never had this problem before.
My FTM was working just fine yesterday on my iMac. Just thankful that I also have my program on my MacBook Pro and I will not be upgrading to Yosemite on it anytime soon.
No idea what to do to get this sorted out.

BEWARE!! of using old software
Never upgrade the machine's OS if your main concern is losing function of old software. Always check to see if the old software you want to continue using, will function with updated OS. Never expect that old software will work with new OS.
There are no issues with Yosemite and FTM Mac 3. Works great!
You may take this opportunity and upgrade to the newest version FTM Mac 3. It's light years ahead and infinitely more stable than the creaky first version for Mac.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Re: Upgraded to Yosemite...BEWARE!!
Not surprising given that FTMM (first Mac version and based on FTM 2010 (Win)) was released long before Yosemite and even Mavericks.
I concur with the advice to update to FTMM3
FTMM was "series 1" and things have moved on considerably since then

Re: Upgraded to Yosemite...BEWARE!!
Calling ACOM CS is the best method to upgrade your FTM (M). They have the wiggle room to offer you a discount on the upgrade, as well piggy-backing some free subscription time.
Check the current subscription prices and the current price of FTMM before you call, (rates and subscription packages vary depending on what country you're in). If you have a current ACOM subscription; note the time you have left on it, and what level it is; then negotiate away! This can help you get the best deal possible.

Re: Upgraded to Yosemite...BEWARE!!
Happened to me too! Thanks for posting so I know it's not just "me". You are right - most of the tabs wouldn't work (except my Tree and Person tabs). The only way I could navigate around is to use the pull down menu at the top under "View". I'm using FTM Mac 3 and when I checked for updates there was one I had not noticed. Once I downloaded that and converted my file to the updated version the tabs are now working again! Maybe that is something to check on!
