There was a new patch released recently (about Marcy 8, 2012). The most I could find out about it:
FROM the patch itself when installed it on 3/16/2012:
This update includes some important improvements for syncing source citations, relationships, and accepted & rejected hints.
It resolves some data issues that were causing sync to fail in some cases.
It includes sync stability and performance improvements.

This is a mandatory update. When you open Family Tree Maker, it should ask if you want to update. You can't do anything else until it runs. As with other patches, it does not give any clues that it has finished, so wait a few minutes, then open your Family Tree Maker and check the version number (Help/About...).
The new version is 21.0.0.529.
The Customer Support person I have been working with on my issues has been promoted, He was very good about letting me know when new patches were out. Someone else in Customer Support let me know what happened to him, which was nice, and he also mentioned that a patch would be coming out "soon" though didn't give me a date on it.
