I had to start again as the linking of the on line and off line trees became corrupted - no amount of retrying was going to fix I was advised by customer support. When I followed the instructions and merged the online tree with my back up I had twice as many marriages as I should - ie the merger duplicated events. I restored from a back up and am now careful to only work on the on line or the off line tree and to synch after each session.
