Well, I went ahead and did the manual uninstall and reinstall (after doing a "clean boot" of Win7). 12 hours later [having to download and link to two trees with 2000 people each and tons and tons of media files---oh, and having to re-find and re-attach, all the media that was not linked to a fact, but just a person, and so never sync'ed]

It still doesn't work.

I highlight text, but don't get the menu. Interestingly, if I hover over an image, it will give me the dotted-line around them, so I can clip those. And I can make web-page archives.
