I just discovered that Dan and Kate, a married couple in my family tree were first cousins. Dan's father and Kate's mother were siblings: Martin and Mary. I now have Kate's mother Mary in two places in my tree--with her family of origin, including her birth name, and as Kate's mother Mary with her married name and her birth name unknown. Other family members for multiple generations have already been entered, with source references and media attached for everyone.
How can I merge the two Marys in my tree into one person, so all the records and the multiple relationships are clear?
Also, I will be entering other ancestors in the tree where first cousins married in one generation and then their children married. The descendents have already been entered. What's the best way to approach entering these individuals?
Thanks!
