I been rethinking the problem.

I Exported the file to a Gedcom and imported to
FTM 11.

Maybe the first step in the fixing process is not working.
(CTRL+ALT+C = FileCompression)

I do not see anything to suggest that something was being done. No a dialog box of any kind or noted activity.

Could it be that something on my computer is preventing that command from working on the file?

Is there another way to use or do the same thing with another command. FTM 11 does not have tools in the menu to compact files.

So I'm wondering if the file is being compacted.
