Marriage notes disappeared from my data when I went from Family Tree Maker 2005 to 2009

I just upgraded to version 2009 from version 2005. When I imported my data from 2005, it looks like all the notes I had entered under the marriage notes disappeared. The notes in the regular notes section did import.
Any idea what might have happened to the notes from 2005 that I had in the marriage section??

Carol,

Did you run this Utility BEFORE you imported from 2005

CTRL+ALT+C

Did you see any Error Messages when you Imported?

Where are you looking for the Marriage Notes? They are Shared in 2009.

Have you looked in the correct place?

Goto People>Person and then select the marriage fact.

The notes should be in the Notes tab in the RH panel

I do not remember for sure if I compressed the file or not before importing. (I imported about 6 or 7 different family files, and I only compressed some of them.)

I did not see any error messages when importing the file.

If I look in the person view, click under "shared facts" on the marriage fact, and then look to the far right, under the notes tab, there is nothing. The sources tab does have the source information, but I can't find the marriage notes.

Carol,

Did you look at the Notes Tab, in the RH Panel, to the Right of the Source-Citation (FACT) tab?

Yes, I looked at the Notes Tab, in the RH Panel, to the Right of the Source-Citation (FACT) tab, but there is nothing there, even though in Family Tree Maker 2005, there are marriage notes for the specific individual I am looking at. NONE of the people for whom I had marriage notes in FTW 2005 have the notes in FTM 2009.

Does compressing the file do something? I can try to re-import the file if that might work.

Carol,

What FACT are you looking at?

In the person view, I have the marriage fact highlighted on the left side of the screen. The sources for the fact do show on the RH side under the sources tab, but when I click on the notes tab, there is nothing when in fact, there should be as I have marriage notes in the FTW 2005 file that I imported to FTM 2009.

Carol,

Did you check the SHARED Fact?

In the person view, on the LH side, under, in bold print
"Shared Facts with ______"
Marriage (date) (place)

Highlighting the line with
Marriage (date) (place)
and then looking to the right and clicking on the NOTES tab, all that shows is
"Marriage notes
Enter marriage fact notes here"

Doesn't look like you have an explanation for what happened to my marriage notes. Do you suppose I should just try to import my file again and see what happens?

I have 12,885 individuals and 4,707 marriages in this particular file. Fortunately, in my largest file (just under 80,000, and yes that is 80k, individuals) I did not put any marriage notes under marriages, but rather in the general notes section.
