Updated to windows 10 and now ftm 2014 crashes before it ever loads. Is there a fix, or a way around this. Very frustrating indeed!

Has any body tried the procedure recommended by Ancestry to make FTM 2014 run on Windows 8/8.1?

I am running FTM 2012 but am interested in this problem as I was thinking of up grading.

The upgrade to my Dell Desktop using the 32bit version of WIN 10 has no issue running FTM2014. I've not investigated ALL function yet, but the basic stuff opens and works ok.
What version of Windows are you running 32 or 64 bit?

Same problem here more or less, and I imagine will not be the last, especially as Windows 10 is free!
Upgraded from W7x64 to Windows 10x64 - Home edition
The application will start but when attempting to open the FTM file it crashes. Called support who suggested removing the link between app and website from the web interface, then go back to the application and re-download. Unfortunately this did not fix the issue.
Would rather not back out to Windows 7 but have 30 days grace (as per Microsoft upgrade process) to restore back to Windows 7, starting today.
Did try various Compatibility mode settings but all with the same outcome, oh and compacting the Database too.Nada.
FYI The Microsoft Compatibility web site states this version is NOT COMPATIBLE.
