I am trying to help a family member with a new computer. I have backed up all their data and need advice on importing their Family Tree Maker data (version 10). Just purchased version 2014. Any advice would be great.

I have the ftw directory on the new computer, lots of directories with .ftw, .ged & .lst files.
What is considered a tree???
Basically do I need consider every person as a tree???

Is there anything on version 10 to export the data??? or should I just import the
raw data into 2014????
