Many thanks for all your help and suggestions but I finally have figured it out and can still use my very old program. I needed to use ASCII (ANSI)TEXT (*txt) and it works fine. I thought I would give it one more try as I looked at a new program but all they had was 2012. It came through on my husbands computer just fine. Again thanks.
