I have been using FTM under windows for 12 years but just switched to Mac. I made the (apparent) mistake of using the "go to the oldest person in your tree" command, which shows me that person in the tree view -- but I can no longer pick a new person to display in the tree view by clicking on a name along the left edge. Clicking there does nothing. Clicking on the "home" icon does nothing. Well, not nothing -- the text fields around the window change to match, but the tree view never changes. Ah, if I switch from the Tree tab to the Person tab and back, I get a refreshed tree view -- after about 20 seconds. My computer has 36 Gb of RAM and 16 processors. Why is this slow? My tree has 8100 people.

Is there a better, more efficient way to file bug reports?
