I've been working on a particular branch or my tree and going back and forth between adding records in one or the other - whichever is easier. I always stop and sync if I switch. However, now I'm noticing that the sync is not actually moving all the new information. It happening in both directions.

For example, I'll add census records in Ancestry to a person and I'll get back to a record where it shows several family members I don't have. So I sync and go to FTM where I can add people easier, then sync again and return to Ancestry. The people aren't there in Ancestry and when I look again at the original person on FTM, the census record isn't there.

Any ideas?

Added screenshot this morning: even after compacting, closing the software and later bringing it back up and syncing again John T & Esther Lovering don't have as many children on Ancestry.
