removing generic historical events/downgrading

I really don't like the generic historical events being embedded in my family tree. It and many of the layout changes just confuse things.

I need to know how to disable these events(such as a family member living through the civil war). I have heard it can be done in family tree maker, which I don't have, but I don't want to get it if changing things there won't affect what I see on the ipad app.

Failing that, if there is a way to downgrade to the old version, oR if anyone knows where such a copy is archived, I suppose that will be my next step. Please, this stuff is driving me crazy, any help is appreciated!

Is there any support on this forum at all??? This is a severe issue and no one has been able to give any feedback, much less useful advice...

I'm tired of the same issue. I actually emailed them a few times and called them and got absolutely nothing from them! They really need to develop the app so we can chose what we see on the timeline. Most of my family is British and the historical crap has nothing to do with their life!
