My Grandfather Juan Imaz( Ch.Steward) was lost at sea on the 8th October 1917. Vessel sunk 15miles off Ballycotton Island, by torpedo from U57 only 13 surviors. His name is registed at Towr Hill Memorial. The U57 surrendered to France & broken up at Cherburg in 1821 the captain at time of sinking was Carl -Siegfried Ritter von Georg.

I don't know what the Spanish spelling of his surname was, but on the British records relating to his death it is spelled as Imas.
