Same here. He also is my 8th GG. I assume that you and I are related because of this connection.

How exciting! I'm glad to find someone with a connection to the Darlings of Maine. I know a good bit about the family once it ends up in Bucksport, ME, but less about their stories from the older generations. Would love to know anything that you have. Mine end up marrying into the Barnards of Bucksport. I wonder where our lines diverge?

Re: Any decendants of Samuel Wardwell (1643 - 1692)?
He is a Great 6 and a Great 7 of mine through Harriet(Hattie) Wardwell and Winfield Scott Greene. My most direct lineage is Samuel, Eliakim, Daniel, Daniel, Stephen, Harriet (Hattie) Wardwell Greene, Ethel Maude Greene Calkins, Franklin W Calkins. My other lineage is through Abigail Wardwell a sister to Daniel 1. I suspect there are thousands of us directly related. I just found this out through my brother, and then investigated it online.

Take a look at my family tree (Goodstein) I would be most interested in hearing what information you have. I have ZERO pictures perhaps you can provide me some further insight.

It is such an interesting, but sad story isn't it. He was my great x 8 Uncle. His brother Eliakim was my great x 8 grandfather.
