Francis Collins is my 9xgreat grandfather. He married Hannah Cockerill. He died in 1689 and she died about 1707, both in Salem.

" FRANCIS COLLINS, Salem 1637, had Hannah, wh. married 30 June, tho. ano. acco. says 27 Jan. 1669, John Brown of Salem; ask. permission in 1687, on the strength of his half century's resid. to keep a house of entertainm. and ten years lat. a widow C. probably his, of the same town, had the same leave." (from Savage's Genealogical Dictionary)

There is a Collins Cove at Salem, Massachusetts, named after this Francis Collins. This cove is used by the new age witches of Salem, MA for some rites. There appears to be a "conspiracy theory" that the Collins family was involved in witchcraft and the "illuminati", yet they were not persecuted during the hysteria of 1692. I have seen no reliable source to support any evidence of this.

I am descended through their daughter Christian Collins b. April 1665 and married to Captain Robert Bray on 05 November 1685 in Salem. They had five children. Francis and Hannah also had eight other children. They are all listed in Perley's History of Salem.
