Mary was never burnt at the stake, they think she was accused of witchcraft and died in prison or was hung from gallows tree. Mary lived in Farmington, Ct, not Hartford. After Mary's death, Thomas remarried a second Mary, who was the daughter of the arresting constable. Thomas and Mary (witch) had three children, then Thomas and Mary Andrews had three more children. I don't know when Thomas moved to Hartford, but he is one of the founders of both Farmington and Hartford, CT. His name is listed on a plaque as a founder of Hartford. Thomas also had to pay the jailer for board and room to keep his wife in jail!!
