Bridget and Edward Bishop never had children, probably because of Bridget's age. We don't know exactly when she was born, but she was first married to John Wasselbee in 13 April 1660 in St. Mary in the Marsh, Norwich, Norfolk County, England. This would make her at least about 45 to 50 years old when she married Edward Bishop as her third husband, assuming she was between 20 to 25 years old when she was first married. It was unusual for the Puritan women of New England to be married in their teens, which was more common in Virginia and the southern colonies.
