I know that in at least one case -- Pierre BOURGEOIS (1925-2004) database [code: racines] -- an indication that the owner of the file is dead has been made, to prevent users from wasting time trying to make contact by e-mail. (Not the best example, though, since he died in 2004 and the last update of the file was in 2012. I suppose the organization he founded still fields e-mail contact about the file.)
I've just discovered a file the owner of which died in 2009 and I'm wondering whether someone with admin rights can make a notation to that effect or at least remove the e-mail address. The file is Palfrenier Connections 10 Jun 2008 [code: 441], by Otto Albert Joseph James Palfrenier, last updated on the date mentioned in the title. He says in his WorldConnect profile that he has terminal cancer. His obit can be found at
