Post-ems always were maintained in a separate database and are linked to the individual in the tree by the ID number. When you update a tree some genealogy programs maintain the original ID and others don't. If they don't the Post-em can become "disconnected" from the tree and individual but the Post-em is still "there" -- even though the connection is lost. That's why I've suggested going in via the links from MyAccount.
