It has been a few weeks now that my sister and I have been there, but I wanted to thank all of you wonderful people there.
I went there with nothing other than I knew my Great Uncle lived in or around that area. Luck was on my side that day for while I was there, I was able to get all the information on him and his wife. It really was an experience. At the same time though that I was looking, so was someone else that came there from Nelsonville, Ohio, I'm from Vermilion, Ohio and at the same time we were united. It was a blessing that two different people would happen to be at the same place at the same time looking for the same family. I had info on him, looking for info on her and she had info on her looking for info on him.
The people there at the Sosiety were so helpful and friendly, they actully went out of there way to help.
I want to tell anybody , that if they get the chance to go to the Athens Genealogy Society that they must do so, if nothing else but to say thank you to the people there for all they have done for all of us searchers.
