It has been two months since I received any message board alerts.
How can I contact Message Board Administrators?

Unfortunately, board administrators can't help with alerts. You'll need to contact the Help Desk about that issue.

The contact email address for a board administrator can be found in Board Information at the top right of the board's screen under Board Tools.

I don't think any of us has been receiving alerts for some time now. BUT...there is an easy work around solution you might prefer to actually clicking the links in the email notice. When you log in on the boards click on MY ALERTS and then start from the top to view any new messages or replies until you work your way down the list to the ones you have already read.

Hi Joan,
Is this access to alerts still working ? When I sign on and select 'Message Boards' then click on 'my alerts' I get an error message.

It only works for me on the ancestry side.

The daily alert email from Rootsweb is no more and trying 'my alerts' from the rootsweb side doesn't work either.

I much prefer the Rootsweb interface

How long is it now since it worked properly??

The last alerts email I received was Nov 1, 2013. The 'my alerts' has stopped working for so long that I very rarely so to rootweb any more. Ancestry.com is obviously not interested in supporting a free genealogy service.

I am now putting my time into wikitree.com. It's FUN !!

You shouldn't get an error message when you click on My Alerts. I use that link daily to review my boards.

Hi Joan,
I received the error just now as I again tried the link 'my alerts'. As Fiona advised it seems if a person logs in via their ancestry subscription the link will work - BUT if a person logs in via a rootsweb without ancestry sub the my alert link does not work.

The My Alerts link hasn't worked on the rootsweb side in a long time.

Have I got this right ?

In order to receive Alerts, one has to have a subscription to Ancestry ?
