Posters are not notified when their posts are moved. There is no automatic mechanism to do that and if board administrators were required to notify board posters when we move one of their posts we wouldn't have time to do anything else. ;-)

The best thing to do is be sure that your post is placed on the correct board. United States (or any other country)/General is an unlikely spot. See Board FAQ - How do I find the most appropriate board for my post? - for more information.

If "Send me an alert when anyone replies to this thread" is checked when you post a message (and that's the default), you'll receive notification when someone posts, no matter where your post is located.

If you want to know why your post was moved, you can contact the administrator of the board where your post was originally placed. Go to that board, open Board Information and you'll see the board administrator's email address.

By the way, if you have additions/corrections to any of your posts, you don't need to reply to yourself. You can open your original message, click on Edit, and change your post as you like.

Hope that helps a little.

Good luck with your research.
