While GenConnect boards are genealogical research boards are not primarily designed for research involving living people, as long as the intent of the message is genealogical in nature, the decision would be up to you as admin for the boards. If the living person query isn't genealogical in nature then you should remove it for the reason that it isn't pertinent to the subject of the board.
