I've just come across information that my GT Gt Gt Grandfather Charles Edward Wright was born in St Petersburg in 1846, and was wondering if there could be a connection between this family and mine?

Was there any British influence in St Petersburg at this time?

Charles Edward Wright joined the British army in 1866 (aged 20) and rose to Captain. He had a sin Russell Oswald Wright who'm I am also bring to find records for.

Any help would be much appreciated
