Re: Volkonsky and Andreev families
I am one of those Volkonskys! Babushka was Princess Tatiana Dmitrievna Volkonskya. I think it was my great grandmother who came form the Andreev family (Lithuanian??) There is a book about my Babushka, She Cried for Mother Russia, Princess in San Luis.
Why are you trying to reach this branch of Volkosnkys?

Re: Volkonsky and Andreev families
Maybe, because my husband is Prince Boris Volkonsky's son?

Re: Volkonsky and Andreev families
Hi, i'm very interested in your family tree as it came up in the Dalton part of my family tree while i was searching. I can trace Michael Dalton and Julia back to 1812 in Ireland although i have no idea where in Ireland they are from.
Can i ask how you are related to Michael Dalton?
Hope to hear from you soon :)
Thank you :)

Re: Volkonsky and Andreev families
Hi Natalie...sorry to have taken so long...have not been on Ancestry for awhile. I have done some research about the Daltons because my daughter married a Brit, who is related to The Dalton Gang! I believe his mother was a Dalton. I forwarded you message to my daughter Tory, she should get back to you soon. I did find out that the Dalton's were from France! I will try and find my research on that. Glad you wrote.

Re: Volkonsky and Andreev families
Dalton is on my daughter's father's mother's mother's maiden name. So my husband's grandmother was a dalton. I am the one who does the ancestry stuff so I have been doing it for my grandkids.

Re: Volkonsky and Andreev families
Do you have any Gol'tsyns or Gallitzins (about 8 different spellings) on your tree? My ancestors' title comes from Lithuania. They intermarried with the Romanov and Stroganov families. The name Volkonsky sounds familiar. Was it made famous in a movie or book?
