Hi! I'm hoping that someone linked to this group may be able to help me.

I've traced my ancestry to a man called John Domenecko Volente who married in the UK in 1813 and who, according to the 1841 census, came from "Foreign Parts" (believed to be Italy). 'Family legend' has it that he was the son of a noble who fled Italy after falling out with his father. I believe he was born c. 1784 but I don't know when he landed in the UK.

Can anyone help me in either tracing his Italian ancestors or confirming the 'legend'?
