I have found this and although I can find no relative in the record for any part of my tree I thought I'd share.

The Royal Record is a record of trees and shrubs that were planted in celebration of the coronation of King George VI.
it not only covers the UK but also some of the British overseas territories and in the USA.

use the search box to see if any of your ancestors had anything to do with this side of the coronation or just have a browse as it is quite interesting in it's own right.
