Labas. I am a descendant of the large Lithuanian Kulakauskas bajorai (land owners, nobility) family clan that lived in the greater vicinity of Silale, Lithuania (western Lithuania) in the 18th and 19th centuries. I have a copy of the family bajorai genealogy chart and description prepared under Russian Czarist rule around 1900, which I obtained from the Lithuanian State Historical Archives. I also have a translated copy. It shows various family branches, gives birth dates, lists land they owned, etc. There are at least two family clans I know of descended from this chart who live in the U.S. (mine is one of them) and we have been in contact with each other. I am a member of the Society of Lithuanian Nobles, USA. Feel free to contact me if you are a descendant of the Kulakauskas family.

Dear Frank,
Can you tell me if my names are in your nobility chart? They are Aukstikalnis and Jankauskas.
Thanks,

Sorry, I don't find those names. It is always good to check surnames from the same locale your ancestors were from. You never know until you try. My best wishes in your search. Be sure and contact the genealogy department at the Balzekas Musuem of Lithuanian Culture, 6500 S. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60629. (773) 582-6500. editor@lithuanianmuseum.org

WE have papers that show Don's Grandfather a Land Owner in Lithuania. When he came to the states he shortened his name as best he could. Came up with Roach to fit into America. His family was Landowners/Nobilty, until the Russian's came, they slaughtered the family. He stowed away on a ship. He lived in Michigan. Ludington and Pinckney.
Are you part of our family?

I am a grandson of a Frank Kulakauskas from Lithuania who departed Ellis island around the 1930's ?? as a young man. He found his way to the Miami/Orlando area as a farmer/land investor. A hard working man indeed.

I would gladly take any info anyone has.

My grandmother and her brothers came from the Silale area in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Can you look to see if any of these names show up in your charts: Kirsgalvis, Polekevicia, Jurgitus, Janusos, and Larauckos. Thank you so much for checking...

I have just found your message. I'm looking for the family of Adamowicz. The spelling is probably wron. My grandfather came to the US 1880's, born in Lithuania. My information is vague. He changed his last name to Adams. I was told that my grandfather was of noble descent (his father landowner). Any information is appreciated.
