The ancestors of the family (Márton & László) used the predicate de Chernek, at the time of the Tatars in 1245.
(The ancestors of the Desseoffy and the Vladár families were also with king Béla IV. in the battle, and used the same predicate, so there is some room for research as to the relationship of these families.)
They were Hungarians, as is the family now.
I am preparing a book containing the literary works of my family, and also its history in the public life.
