Vicky,
I sent a private e-mail to your address at sbcglobal and it came back as undeliverable.

Frances Willihnganz, who married Leo Eberhardy, was my mother's cousin and I have been doing a lot of work on the Willihnganz family.

Would you be willing to help me out with Leo and Frances' family? I know that they had two children. Daniel went to school in Pennsylvania and is/was a piano tuner. Margaret married Paul Hewet and then on 23 Nov 1973 married Stephen Mann. I do not know the birthdates and places for the children. Was Daniel married? When did Margaret marry Paul? Where did the marriages take place and who are the parents of Paul and Stephen. Did either child have children?

Any help would be appreciated.

Needless to say, I would be willing to share any Willihnganz info with you.

Mary
mtwagner@myfastmail.com
Thank you for responding. I would love any information you could give. I know my dad's dad is Leo Eberhardy and Leo's dad is Nicholas Eberhardy. My dad said his dad (Leo) told him his dad (Nicholas) came over from Germany. My dad never spent too much time with his grandfather Nicholas but he does remember watching a tv show with him and solders were talking in German and he told them what they were saying. So he knows he did speak German. I will send you bith dates of the Eberhardy's I know. Unfortunately Leo died while he was in his 50's of cancer and his mother died when he was really young. And I don't think he was very close to his father because Nicholas remarried after his wife died to a lady who had 5 kids of her own and he pretty much wasn't there for Leo. But I will find out more names and maybe you can help. Thanks again

Melinda,
I was alerted about this message by a cousin of mine, Nancy (Eberhardy) Mays. I have a rather extensive Eberhardy family tree, but I can't find the names you mention. I DO have a Leo Eberhardy of who I don't know much about. He is the son of Nicholas and Elsie (Rickert) Eberhardy. I have another Leo (son of Peter and Mathilda (Lammeyer) Eberhardy. But my family tree, of course is not complete. I only rely on what others give me.

Just so you are aware, ALL Eberhardy's are related. That much I know. You are related to us--we just have to find the common thread. If you can e-mail me and just give me as much as you know--parents, grandparents, great grandparents, any dates you know. There are some family members who we sort of lost track of. I try to track down people, but if they don't answer. . . I know there was a brother of my grandfather's--Nick (I met him once when I was a kid)--who moved out west. I just couldn't get that family to answer any of my letters. Heaven only knows where they are now. I know he was married and had four children, Leo being one of them. But I don't have any marriage information for Leo or any children--simply due to lack of information.

So if you could answer me, give me what you have, and I'll try to connect you and give you everything I have. It is an enormous family. A lot of the family had rather large families--10-12 kids. My dad was one of 12. We need to answer these questions while some of the older generation is still alive. I also have some fabulous stories in the family tree. I'll pass them on if you are interested.

Vicki (Eberhardy) Metz
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
metzv@sbcglobal.net
Hi Melinda,

I’m so glad to hear from you! I am going to tell you just a little bit about the family line, and then refer your message to my cousin, Vicki Metz, who knows a lot more about family connections than I do. She grew up around the family and my immediate family moved from Milwaukee when I was 9.

I see a Leo Eberhardy on our family lines, but he was born 1910 and passed away in 1980. Could your granddad possibly be his son (maybe a Jr.)? Also, I notice you say Leo was born about 1940 and his son, your dad, born about 1950 - are these the years you meant to show? This Leo Eberhardy was married to Francis Willihnganz. He was a son of Peter Nicholaus Eberhardy, my grandfather’s brother. We do have a great deal of information back to Germany, the earliest known ancestor being: Unknown Everhardi (b. about 1718).

Please let me know if and when you hear from Vicki. My address is: nancy.mays@netzero.com. I would love to hear back from you and see how we all connect.

Nancy
THORSELL Family Reunion in WI

There will be a THORSELL Family Reunion in WI in August 2005.

Those attending are descendents of Peter and Martha THORSELL. They came to the US in 1907 and settled in Illinois. Peter was born in Sweden in 1867. However he may have been born with the name Per Peterson, but was forced to change his name to get paid for a job b/c there were too many Per Petersons (at least that's how the story goes. I don't have proof yet).

ANyway he moved to Germany and Married Martha Lena DOERING in 1897. They had 5 children in Germany (William, Helen, Christine, Mary, and Gertrude). After moving to US, they had three more children (Carl, John, and Clara).

If you are interested in learning more about the THORSELL family(or have something to add) or would like to know about the reunion, please contact me.
Reunion of King-Loomer Clan?

Can anyone confirm exact time and place of King-Loomer Clan Reunion? Usually in past it has been second Sunday in August, somewhere in Walworth Co, Wisconsin. Would appreciate this info as we may attend this year. This is area in Wisconsin where several Loomers settled after leaving Nova Scotia in mid-19th Century. Would appreciate hearing from anyone. My g-grandmother was Henrietta Sophia Loomer (1835-1909) daughter of Jonathon Loomer. Thanks!

Loomer Reunion

Thanks, Ian Loomer, for your reply. I did receive a response from the Association Secretary/Genealogist by conventional mail. Now it appears there is a schedule conflict anyway. But I have the addresses I needed, so can keep in touch. Thanks again.
