The third Global Gathering of Goninans and related families will be held in Madison, Wisconsin over the week-end commencing Friday 26th June, 2009. The first Gathering was held in Cornwall in 2002 and the second in Tasmania in 2005. The family name is spelt Goninen in Wisconsin and Goninon in Tasmania but however spelt family members can all trace their ancestry back to the Goninans living in Breage Parish in Cornwall, England in the 17th century.
