There will be the Annual Hopper reunion the 3rd weekend of August at Lackawanna State Park Dalton, PA. This reunion started in 1936 due to the union of John Hopper and Nancy McMurray from New Jersey back in 1827. They eventually traveled west to PA. Some families that married into the family are as follows: Kresge, Newcomb, Dietz, Bartholemew, Shupp and Chase.
