The 2006 Annual Reunion of The Descendants of Henry Mershon will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2006, in the Fellowship Hall of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main Street, Lawrenceville, NJ.
Most Reunion attendees will be staying at the Clarion Palmer Inn, 3499 U.S. Highway One South, Princeton, NJ 08540, Telephone (609) 716-9100. There is a block of rooms reserved until September 7 for the Mershon Association at a special rate of $92.99 per night. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
Our program is-
SATURDAY MORNING, Sept.30 at 9 AM: Annual Meeting of the Mershon Association at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. After our business meeting and election of officers, there will be a presentation by a Revolutionary Way re-enactor entitled "Powder, Potion, Bolus and Pill." Mershon Association genealogy books and the recently produced Video Tour of the Andrew Mershon Tavern Site will be available for review and sale.
SATURDAY NOON, Sept. 30: Box Lunch at the Presbyterian Church with a game of "Mershon Trivia." Adults @ $8., Children under 10 @ $4. Make reservations with Dr. Jim Mershon, see address below.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON, Sept. 30: Following lunch, we will depart for a guided tour tracing General George Washington's Christmas Day 1776 March from Washington's Crossing of the Delaware River to Trenton. Our guide is from the "Old Barracks" in Trenton and is well informed and experienced. We have reserved a modern air-conditioned tour bus, seating 46, and will visit key historical sites.
