The annual Gates family reunion is the last Sunday in August. These Gates' are the descendents of David Gates (Goetz) and Sidney Shahan. David moved to the Columbus, Indiana area by 1860. His brother Daniel also moved to the area. They were originally from Ichenheim, Baden, Germany. Their father was Jakob Goetz. If you are a relative, or think you might be one, and want to attend, please send me an email and I will make sure you receive an invitation. The reunion will be near Edinburgh, Indiana.
