You are invited to the Cain Family Reunion which will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the home of Thomas and Jane Cain, Sheridan, Indiana. Our pot luck lunch starts around 1:00 PM.
Bring your family, a dish to pass, table service, drinks, chairs, fun outdoor games, photos, your camera, smiles, and memories. For photographs and family history materials, please make a copy and bring the copy instead of the original.
If you have an easel and/or board to post pictures, letters, and other family history materials, feel free to bring it along with what you want to post. We welcome you to bring copies of recent and old family photographs to post.
Among the surnames connected to our CAIN family that may be attending are: Ellis, French, Barnett, Piatt (in fact, our reunion used to be called the Cain-Piatt Family Reunion many years ago), Wright, Murphy, Haney, Day, Evans, and many more!
All of our CAIN family branches are descended from Watson Cain who was born 200 years ago in Coshocton County, Ohio on August 10, 1809. Our PIATT family ancestors include Phillip H. Piatt who was born 1820 in Virginia and was a son of James and Mary (Donahue) Piatt. Some of our family will be visiting Oak Hill Cemetery near Kirklin during our reunion where some of our Cain (including Watson Cain) and Piatt (including Phillip Piatt) ancestors are buried.
