Scott descendants from Lawrence Scott, Sr. and wife Elizabeth "Betsey" Low/e are gathering together on September 25th at Kyuka Baptist Church, Etowah for sharing knowledge on ancestry/descendants. Many kin attending have never met one another. Seeking old family photos of Lawrence/Betsey (daughter of Aquilla Lowe) and their family, legal documents, letters, etc. that would give all of us Scott kin insight to our ancestors. Anyone with any information about our Indian heritage - please share - we also seek information as to Lawrence Scott, Jr. who married Winnie Camp (she is supposed to descend from an Indian Tribe) and it is told Lawrence, Jr. was in the Civil War, documents not found as proof, but buried in the cemetery where he is, is a Civil War marker of Lawrence Scott, Corp. 49th Alabama Inf.
