This is an invitation for descendants of Mary (born 1730) Bowden or Popes Creek Plantation in Westmoreland County Virginia. The reunion if for all descendants and allied family members. It will be held on the campus of Lincoln University, outside of Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

Mary and her daughter Patty Bowden were "Mulatto" indentured Servants to George Washingtons family. Patty (born 1750) was born at Popes Creek, the birth place of George Washington. After their indentures were served Mary and Patty moved to Fredericksburg Virginia, where they are buried. One of their lines migrated to Pennsylvania in 1852, and that is the line that will be holding the Bowden descendants reunion.

Overnight accommodations are available, on a first come first serve basis. The cafeteria will be available for the duration of the reunion. We will have family sharings, recreation and entertainment. Please note that Bowden descendants located in DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and also in Canada.
