can anyone tell me what "as described in notice" means written below the females name on an English marriage certificate from 1875

I have got quite marriage certificates dated later than 1875, and I have never seen that wording.

could possibly refer to publication of the Banns prior to marriage, they are read out or posted at the church in the weeks preceding the ceremony.
