Hello,
I wonder if anyone can advise me on this! I've seen marriage records before where the woman was previously married, and the record would show both her maiden name and previous married name, but now I've come across this for the man, and it's registered in two names for him too. It is Louisa A Matthews married 1950, spouse shown as Reyner or Cole. Then it is registered in two names for him - Stanley E Cole and Stanley E Reyner, both with the same record numbers. I can understand why that would happen for a woman who had changed names by being married before, but not for a man. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you
Sue
